Nexus Mercantile (#ShopLocal)
As coffee shops across the world continue to grow and prosper, the need to establish a connection within the community beyond the bean has become greater and greater. Amy and her team have recognized this over the years and see it as a consistent “Call to Action”.
That’s why when you walk through the doors of Nexus you won’t just find coffee and a cool venue, you’ll find a multitude of voices sharing their stories through the Nexus Mercantile. From locally made chocolates, to cigar box guitars, to t-shirts sporting all manner of Arkansan humor and history, each shelf shares a deep connection to the community of Nexus, Little Rock, and Arkansas.
“When you support our business,” says Amy, “you’re also supporting over a dozen local makers. We are so proud to share their stories.”
Some may recognize names like Michael Van, Seth Tomboli, and Chris Swasta if you frequent Nexus. Respectively, the head’s behind “Van’s Honey,” “Tomboli Leather Co”, and “Rolling Hills Pottery”, have always shared their passion for their work with the Nexus community.
Van says, “Our partnership with Nexus goes back to the beginning, when they first opened their doors in July 2017. Since, my small business has grown with their own expansion and helped to create connections that pushed my vision and craft to come alive.”
So, as you walk through Nexus, sipping that tasty, morning brew, be sure to pick through and learn about the numerous makers Nexus works alongside.
